About Brett Hoebel
As the founder of Hoebel Fitness and trainer on NBC’s The Biggest Loser season 11, Brett Hoebel is one of the most sought-after weight-loss, nutrition and motivation coaches in the country. His integrative philosophy and body-mind approach come from his diverse experience in Eastern and Western disciplines, including his martial arts training in capoeira and Muay Thai kickboxing, as well as his educational background in functional strength training, nutrition, yoga and holistic health. He was a pre-med student at Claremont McKenna College, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in psychology and biology. He furthered his education taking graduate courses in biomedical science at Rutgers University.
A 15-year veteran in the fitness industry, Brett has shaped-up Hollywood’s finest, including Victoria Secret supermodels and A-list actors. He was a health expert on Food Network’s Fat Chef and is currently a lead judge on Fit or Flop: The Search For America’s Next Fitness Star. He appears frequently on shows like Dr. Oz, The Talk, The View and the Today show and is a contributing fitness expert for publications, including Fitness, Self, Women’s Health, Vogue, and Details. Brett has been touted “Best of New York” by New York Magazine and Allure and is also an award-winning group fitness instructor and personal trainer, that has been certified with NASM, CrossFit, the C.H.E.K. Institute for Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology and Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching, Kettle Bell Concepts, TRX, US Olympic Lifting, Yoga Alliance, and Pre-Postpartum Conditioning.
His passion, knowledge and creativity can be seen in the lifestyle-fitness programs he’s created including his highly anticipated new program the 20 Minute Body™ and RevAbs®, a revolutionary in-home DVD workout program. When not in Los Angeles, he travels to New York and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to teach his programs, study capoeira and meet with different health and fitness professionals that share his same integrative approach.
