Brett is the creator of the revolutionary 20 Minute Body™ DVDs and was the health expert on Food Network’s Fat Chef, as well as the brains behind the RevAbs® DVDs from Beachbody (producers of P90-X). His integrative philosophy and body-mind approach come from his diverse experience in Eastern and Western disciplines, including his martial arts training in capoeira and Muay Thai kickboxing, as well as his educational background in functional strength training, nutrition, yoga and holistic health.
He was a pre-med student at Claremont McKenna College, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in psychology and biology. He furthered his education taking graduate courses in biomedical science at Rutgers University.
Brett has been touted “Best of New York” by New York Magazine and Allure and is also an award-winning group fitness instructor and personal trainer, that has been certified with NASM, CrossFit, the C.H.E.K. Institute for Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology and Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching, Kettle Bell Concepts, TRX, US Olympic Lifting, Yoga Alliance, and Pre-Postpartum Conditioning.
His passion, knowledge and creativity can be seen in the lifestyle-fitness programs he’s created, as well as his Rise Above Bullying campaign where he speaks at schools around the world to inspire and educate children on how inner-strength can turn pain into passion and is the key to overcoming adversity. When not in Los Angeles, Brett travels to New York and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to teach his programs, study capoeira and meet with different health and fitness professionals that share his same integrative approach.
